Center console delete --- Where to relocate AC?
 

Hi all!

I am planning on deleting the center console as I put in my new carpet - however; I do have AC and plan on keeping it. Please post some pics on your resolution to relocating the ac controls.

I don't have a pic, but I don't regret removing my carrera console and replacing it with the earlier style rubber shifter bellows.

I pulled the A/C controls out and wrapped them in alcantara and velcroed them to the carpet in front of the shifter.
I put the hazard and defroster switch under the glove compartment.
I got rid of the central locking switch.

If you ditch the central locking button will the central locking still work?

My 89 was unaffected - just unplugged it from the harness. I can still lock all doors with the key.
