930 CIS Throttle Body - hole in it?
Some of you have been following my fast idle escapades with this '78 930 engine (California 930/63 with all smog stuff removed).
This is my first tubo engine so I have zero experience with the some stock mechanical configurations. The throttle plate (butterfly) has a small ~1/8 inch or less hole tward the bottom center. Is this a normal factory deal or has a PO drilled this for some unknown reason? It most certainly would go a long way in explaining a few things if that hole is not supposed to be there.
