Stuck Fuel Distributor plunger need advice.

The plunger(piston) on my fuel distributor is stuck.

I've tried the usual things trying to free it up. I've soaked it over night in penetrant and blew compressed air through all the ports in the fuel distributor.

Still it won't free up. As a last attempt I very lightly tapped on the end of the plunger with a rubber mallet an it seemed to seat in alittle deeper but it won't budge the other way.

Any ideas on freeing this thing up. I've heard the fuel distributor can't be taken apart without leaking once it''s reassembled. Is this an option? Thanx L

I had the same problem after letting my fd sit for a few months in a zip-loc bag and it froze up.

I got some great advice on this board.....make a solution of 50% auto trans fluid and 50% acetone. Pour some onto the piston (you can do from either the bottom side or where the wur line plugs in). This unfroze my piston in about 2 minutes and this was after soaking for days in pb blaster with no success. It's unbelievable how well this worked.
