Which Color Green Could It Be ?
Im looking into a local 1971 S coupe that is for sale . Its about 50 miles from my home so I wont be going to see it until next weekend. In short the car is a total basket case with the wrong engine and a repaint . The seller told me the original color was a very rare light green but forgot the name . Anyone know what it could be ? I understand that beside the standard issue colors there was almost 20 special order colors available as well. BTW the car is located in New Jersey about 10 minutes from the george washington bridge . If I dont buy the car( I allready have 14 porsches) I will pass the info to this board . He is asking $6500 and said its very negotiable . Please dont send me PM`s about the info . I will however respond to this post . Now about that color ...... Pictures would be great too.

Yea thats a great color . But thats a 68` right ? Was that color available in 71` too ?

There is a really bright green, kind of a neon greenish color called Lime Green, and there is Viper Green: A few other greens from '71 are Conda, Irish, Olive, Turkis, Busch and Signal Green!
This is Gelb Green, which is a few shades lighter then Viper.

That seafoam green is beautiful... I've seen it on a 911S before but never knew the name. I'm going to remember that for my next early car

the Red Book doesn't show any special order greens.
it does show 6 std color greens.
