broken engine harness loom, need help
I have taken on a 1981 911SC project car that has been neglected (the usual story) and has sat up for about 10 yrs. During this time, the CDI along with the metal backing plate was robbed for another car. During the extraction of the ignition, the wiring loom thingy was broken. Where can I get another one of these? AND, does anyone know what order I need to punch the wires into the new thingy? check the pics below...

Our host sells those.
http://www.pelicanparts.com/catalog/images/Connect-Images/91161211305-M100.jpg The wiring pin designation is here http://forums.pelicanparts.com/porsche-911-technical-forum/360088-wiring-diagram-needed-81-14-pin-connector-relay-side.html |
The link HelmetHead posted is for the male side of that connector, not the female one you need.
PM me and I can fix you up with whatever you need later when I get home from work. Dennis http://forums.pelicanparts.com/porsche-911-used-parts-sale-wanted/740894-building-sc-mid-year-engine-harnesses.html |

From the look of the 3 photos posted, that is the side with "male" pins and not the female side as Dennis indicates. Just be sure of which you need so you don't end up like the other fella who got two of the wrong side. |
Sorry HelmetHead, I was wrong, stupid iPhone app this site runs won't let me zoom in on the picture. Have to copy it then look at it in my album to zoom.
You guys were right, it is the $51 male one he needs. Just buy it from our host, those things are stupidly expensive everywhere and you cant just buy the plastic parts. |
thanks for the fast response...and the links. Its hard to find a part when you dont even know the name :)
Timmy2 - I have seen your engine harnesses in the classifides, they look awesome with the fiberbraid. |
