Fuchs redux

After polishing out the spokes and rims and doing a side by side, I've decided that black poodles look best on my car. I think the polished look is great on many 911's, but black works with the black trim.

IMHO, if you loose the bumper overriders and the accordians, you would have a nice retro custom look for your car. The Duck tail almost demands polished wheels.

Man got a point. If your car was mine, I'd be ringing around to find the best price on narrow RSR front and rear bumpers to go with that ducktail (going for the 3.0RS look)...

3.0 RS just about done

To set off the wheels, you understand

I'll second Cam's opinion:

I think the polished spokes look great with the red.

Yeah, after seeing the side by side I'm going to stick with the black on black Fuchs. IMO the polished petals look too much like a hot rod from the late 70's.

Hey Mark:

For what it's worth, it looks like you did a great job on the wheels, sorry you're not happy with the results. I wish I was able to take you up on your invite to swing by a couple of weeks ago when you were starting in on the project.

I'm getting pretty close to deciding that the polished look is what would look best on my car instead of the black paddles. This is because I've got so much chrome on my car.

Thank you for that, Mr. Wilson. I just lauged so hard I shot coffee through my nose and all over the keyboard.

On another note, I agree that with RS bumpers, the polish poodles will look great. ( And polished paddles won't look bad, either.)

I have to disagree.......That car is gorgeous just the way it sits! I love the polished petals.....My car will be the exact replica of yours when it's done, except mine will be white. My only sticking point is whether or not to add Carrera script and leave the lid script off......

I've gone back and forth on the RUF Yellowbird bumpers, but it's simply too rich for my pocketbook.....

If asked this question without seeing them I
would have said black. But I really think that
they look nice polished. It does give it more of
a retro look, w/ the tail and some RS bumpers,
it will look great. Plus painting the Fuchs will not
have the same look that the anodising had.
My car is very similar to yours and the RS look
is the direction that I am headed, although I
hadn't thought about polishing the wheels
before, hmmm.

I do agree though that black poodles WOULD
look good on the car, but placement is critical.
Can I suggest next to the deer on the fender?
