1974 Suspension bolts
I recently removed my suspension to perform some clan up, replace worn parts, etc. I am wondering can I reuse my suspension bolts? Will they torque properly or should they be replaced?
Thanks DRC |

I would replace them but if they don't have any corrosion then you could reuse them. The long bolts for the crossmember are probably the only ones where you can't easily buy a replacement.

I believe the only stretch bolts in the older 911's are the connecting rod bolts.
That said, if not beat up/corroded, have them plated and they will look pretty spiffy and still do the job.

I only changed the ones that were beat up, rusted or otherwise ugly. I did replace most of the washers for the same reason.
