What is this?

So I was Browning porsches online and came upon a picture of what appears to be a vw type 3 fastback with a porsche roofline and door. Wondering if anyone has more info on it

Interesting. Looks like a VW fastback that has had some modifications in the front. Those look like sugar scoop headlight to me. And they added a 911 roofline - those are definitely 911 rear side windows.

Here's a regular fastback:

Wow, I kinda like it actually, though the front is a little awkward. Needs something to break up the Maytag-ness.

I wonder were the engine is located. Fastbacks were mid engine, but 911's are rear engine. I would assume it's mid because of the primarily fastback style body shell.

Looks like they are calling it a 913.

Doesn't look that bad. 911 roof is the trick.

Fastbacks were rear engine cars.

I had the station wagon type 3 with a stout little 1500 cc pancake motor with dual Solex carbs.

Cool little car.
