				Sticky Accelerator Pedal.

Hi all, Have been out in the C3 lately and have noticed that from time to time the accelerator pedal doesn't return! Needless to say it is quite an exciting experience to enter a corner and have the car continue to power through despite having the foot off the pedal. Any thoughts on how to fix this issue? Cheers, Will

Do you have cruise control? The cable can bind and hold the throttle open. Has nothing to do with the operation of the CC, just the cable getting mechanically bound.

just a guess because I don't know the 76's - worn/sticking throttle bell crank bushings or missing/binding springs? On my 87, one of the 2 return springs had broken, and the remaining one had to do the all of the work.

You have 3 plastic bushing that hold your rod and tunnel and check bell crank on pedal cluster probably bind or broken.

I've had the triangular part that the throttle bell crank is connected to, bend and get hung up on the edge of the hole in the body. It was very exciting and got my heart rate up. Push by hand and check for clearance.

Thanks all. I'll look into it a little deeper. No cruise Control.
