Tach wire

I've just got my car back from from the panel shop and have found the black/purple tach wire lose. It's a '69 t which has had a CDI unit retro fitted.
There is no ballast unit fitted.
Where should I reconnect the wire?

Post a picture of where it is loose now. Is it behind the Dash, at the rear panel, falling out of the harness??? What type of CDI?

The tach wire is lose in the engine bay, it's still connected at the harness end, I'm just not sure whether to connect it to the distributor or the coil.
The CDI is a Bosch 3 pin 0227200

Should be a double spade connection on the distributor that it connects to. That's how it is on my 1972 with the 3 pin CDI
