1974 CIS fuel filter ??
As the original filter is NLA, time to update to 76-77 filter. I managed to source the bent pipe fittings update kit but ran into a few problems:
1. When I attach the new filter to the accumulator with the bent pipe, they will not fit the mounting bracket for the accumulator / filter, the angle is wrong. The 76-77 apparently used a different mounting bracket ? 2. The filter 450-905-003 has a larger diameter outlet so the polyamid line fitting that goes to the fuel distributor will not work with the filter. To use the outlet fitting that came with the conversion would require cutting the polyamid line and fitting the line to the new fitting outlet barb which I am very hesitant to try. It would have to be done with the polyamid line still attached to the fuel distributor. 3. From searching other posts, I see that others have used filter 911-110-176-00-M14 and it appears the current polyamid fitting will fit the filter outlet but will the bent pipe fit the fuel filter inlet ?? Has anyone used this filter with the bent pipes and original outlet fuel line fitting for a '74 fuel filter ?? I am sure others have done this conversion but I spent a lot of time searching and really found nothing like this. Tidybuoy's '74 shows what I thought mine would look like as those are the exact parts I have but he obviously has a different mounting bracket and the polyamid line was pressed onto the fuel filter outlet barb. Any suggestions ?? The new filter with bent pipe and barbed outlet fitting: The old filter with smaller diameter outlet: ![]()

Updating A 1973.5 911T Fuel Filter
There are several solutions here: Fuel Filter Fitment Issues...... Need fuel filter fitting for CIS Later I went to the bent hard line like you show. If you look at the fittings on the filters, they can be removed and reused. If I recall, I either needed to take the one off the original style filter and put it on the new filter outlet or swap the two ends. I have used both these filters with good success: Fuel Filter (Bosch 0 450 905 003) and Fuel Filter (Bosch 0-045-905-016).

Unfortunately the outlet fitting (12mm / 14mm) on the original '74 filter will not work with the 450 905 003 filter fittings. What I think is the easiest way in my case is to order a 2nd 450 905 003 filter as both ends of this filter are threaded for 14mm fittings. The input fitting is 14mm / 14mm and the output fitting is 14mm / 16mm. I can take the 14mm / 14mm input from the one filter and use it as the output fitting on the other resulting in a filter with 14mm fittings on both ends and having a spare filter. I will try to source the 76-77 mounting bracket on the used parts thread so the new accumulator / filter assembly can be clamped in without having to jury rig something. Again, appreciate the response.
