PMO Fuel Bars Leak??
Has anyone used these? I just purchased a used set from a Pelican and installed them but can not get them to hold fuel. He sent new washers (red, hard fiberous type) with them that look like the original type but they leak. I am worried about tightening to much and destroying my carbs. Any input would be great! Thx Bill

I did put a new set on my Webers and found that you have to tighten them equally as you snug them up. I'm not sure what the recommended torque is but it did seem like you had to over tighten them to get them to stop leaking?

Thanks I will try a few more times. Just thought there might be a trick to it or better washers. Not sure what Honda bond is? I will google it.

The red fiber washers are the right washer to use. If they're leaking, they must be pretty loose because let's not forget that the input pressure to the carbs should be 3-1/2 psi. Snug them down a little more and they should stop leaking. If you don't like the fiber washers, you can certainly use a suitably sized aluminum or copper sealing washer.
The PMO fuel bars are MUCH better than the pesky banjo barbed fittings that Weber originally used. PMO puts the bars on every set of carbs they sell.

When I install banjos or PMO rails I first sand the red fiber washers smooth, they have a texture that makes sealing unreliable. Also, be sure the sealing surfaces on the Webers are smooth. If all surfaces are flat and the gaskets are prepped like I mentioned then no sealant is required and they will seal with moderate torque.
