Autopower rollbar suggestion for 911 Cabriolet CONVERSION

I have a 74 Cab conversion from what i think was once a targa. What rollbar do i need? Are the floor pans or dimensions different at all from targa coupe cab or is it all just based off the roof line?

I have a 79 cab conversion and used an autopower rollbar 911 C2 C4 cabriolet. It was their street version but I had a diagonal welded. They have a race version if you are going to track the car. Also I made 1 inch spacers to lift the bar from the floor in order to pass the "broomstick" test. I have done a test fit but have yet to install.

74vert, if you live in San Diego, just go to Autopower and talk to them. They are very helpful, and do custom roll bars at a reasonable rate.

Looking at Autopower's applications, Autopower Industries - Application List , they list a different bar for targas and cabs. The roll bar question can be very complex. What is the purpose of the roll bar? Looks, street safety, a DE requirement, or racing? Do you want to use your top? How do you want it to be mounted, bolt in or permanent? It gets complicated. I spent months researching different manufactures, mounting locations, and different organization's safety requirements. Once I decided on what I wanted, it became evident that I was going to have to make a custom bar. I used plastic tubing to mock up my design in my car. I brought my measurements to Autopower and had them bend tubing to my specs. I fitted and welded it myself. Autopower and others will sell unwelded roll bars. Good luck,
