84 3.2 L Backdated heat. Which ignition wires?

84' Cab with 3.2L. I am backdating my heating system and changing my ignition wires. Most likely will go with Magnicores.

Question: Will the stock set of Magnicores offered by our host fit with the heating back dated? If not, please provide suggestion for alternative wires.

Thanks for any help you can provide.

PK

I run the Magnecore kv85 with no problems. Make sure you get the wires with a longer coil wire. The early cars had the coil on the fan housing, where the Carrera is on the fender wall.

The 84' part # is different than 85' to 89'. Do you think that would be the difference.
It will be hard to know if the Coil wire is longer or shorter until I receive them here in Canada, Victoria.

I have the Magnecor wires ordered from our host on an 86 with backdated heat. They fit fine.

The '84 wires for cylinders 4-6 run across the shroud, under the intake manifold. The '85-'89 wires are run across the top of the fan housing in plastic keepers, and are longer to account for this.

If you don't plan to move the coil (and I don't see why you would), the coil wire length is fine.
