Anyone ever done a full 911SC/Carrera backdate?

Hi All -

I know there are piles of back dated cars out there. Just curious if anyone has gone all the way and converted an SC/Carrera flared car to a true narrow body.

I have been going back and forth on adding turbo flairs to my short hood car or back dating (still with turbo flairs for the RSR look). However, every time I see a 911R, it gets me all fired up. Love that car. Just weighing all of the options.

Would it be as "simple" (ha..) as sourcing some 1968 rear quarters?

Would love to know if anyone has ever done this.

Thanks!!

Evrething can be done but on SC i would use 69 quarter easier to set the Wheel and 911R had small flair like the 69.

The 911r were swb cars and your sc is Lwb. You can use 69-73 like suggested above to get close to the look though. Just won't be exactly correct. Plenty of "911r look" Lwb cars out there too.
