901 Hargett Shifter measurement request

I've got a 901 transmission installed in my Rally Beetle, and I'm working on the install of a Hargett shifter and hydraulic handbrake. I've run into a bit of a snag, and could really use a measurement from someone who has a 901 equipped 911, using the Hargett shifter:

How far right (in inches or millimeters) does the top of the knob move from neutral to 4th/5th?

I realize the side-to-side axis has adjustable stops, but currently my car has no engine...thus I can't really "test" where to put my stops. How far the shifter moves will determine where I place the vertical hydraulic hand brake, and I'm stuck until I get a dimension (even a ballpark) to work with.

Flipped the shifter mount in my build:

Thanks!

Built it myself from the ground up. Had help with one heater channel, and had someone else spray the paint, otherwise it's 100% built by me.

Build thread is long, at 33 pages...but can be found here: Dave's 1971 1302 Not-So-Secret, Secret Project Build - GermanLook Forums

This is a lot shorter, and gives a pretty good idea of what's involved.
