I was wondering is there any potential performance improvement using this short stroke version of a 3.2L? Would it require dual plug heads?

The short stroke 3.2 made from over boring a 3.0 to 98mm is a good rebuild idea. The motor does not have the same amount of torque as the long stroke motor but makes revs' faster. Its a trade off. Noi you don't have to go to dual plug if you keep the compresion ration down. I asume you are talking about a street motor with street pump gas.
I like my short stroke 3.2 motor. 281 HP/ 241 ft/lbs. torque at 6100 RPM. at the crank shaft on the dyno. Randy Jones 1971 911 |
