Any "cockney brown" 911's?

There is a 1975 Carrera for sale near me and just wanted to see a car this color.

I have never heard of "cockney brown" before. The car is within driving distance. Just curios. The seller has a cert. of authenticity from PCA. I may go look at it one way or the other.

Sorry I cannot post a picture fellas, but I have a Sepia Brown 73.5T with the original factory coded color and the color of the car shown is not Sepia Brown. Sepia Brown is a very rich caramel brown, fairly dark and very high in the brown "value" scale.

By the way, I realize Sepia Brown is not a very popular color in todays market, but was a very hot color back in the 70's according to the local dealer. Dr. Porsche himself favored Sepia Brown and it was favorite color. Imagine that!!!?? The die-hards I come across love it for it's originality, but I get thumbs down from my kids (16-17).

Regards
Bob

My fave

Here is Cockney Brown. One of my all time favorite colors. As much as I enjoy my current 911, I miss this car.

#2 on mikeferg75's. Nice treatment on wheels and stripe.

The first Porsche I looked at to buy many years ago was this brown and I wound up painting my first chopper in 1975 this color. At that time I used Sepia Brown color code.

Other than bumpers, mine is stock. It's a 75 Carrera like the op is going to look at.

The color used for the 1974 and 1975 model year was called "Bitter Chocolate". It is far more red than the previous year Sepia Brown. Te "Bitter Chocolate" is one of the great period colors.
Actually, it is very rare and the Carrera's of 74 & 75 registry show 11 cars. That's out of around 1544 total production. It is a gorgeous color in person.

I'm doing a total R&R of a 76 912E. The original color was Bitter Chocolate. I almost decided to repaint in Garnet Red, or that Auburn color that the Cayenne comes in this year, but saw one in person, and it is a great color.

Also, on the 912 Registry the paint code for the 76 912E is listed as: "T3T3 408-9-1 Chocolate Brown , (Cockney Brown 406) , (Bitter Chocolate)"
