Plasti Dip floors?

Has anyone Plasti Dipped their floors? I am curious as to the ease of application and the final look. I am not purchasing new carpets until I delve into a larger cosmetic makeover and am toying with the Plasti Dip idea as it seems easily reversible by simply peeling off. Any comments, concerns, etc. are always welcome. Thanks in advance.

your feet and/or a carpet will produce mechanical wear to it and most possibly damage it.

i see no advantage using PD for the floors... just use a thick black paint...

I wouldn't. Its not durable enough for foot traffic. If I was going to do anything it would be rattle can bedliner in a light coat. I mean you'll cover it all up eventually anyway. Put some pictures up and let us see the state of affairs. You could go this route and not even worry about sound deadening adhesive removal.

I used under-coating, yes the stuff you use in fender wells, etc.. It stunk like hell for a few days, but this was before I installed the carpet set.

Use something like Lizard Skin that's designed for interior use to reduce the stanky factor?

Eastwood Company: Search Results for lizard skin*inproducts

Or else use a hard finish paint like POR-15 Hardnose paint. I plan to use the Hardnose stuff on the floor of my racecar, since it'll remain bare paint w/out carpet on top.
