I've been looking close at a car for sale, a '77 911. I wanted to know if it was normal to have MIG welded "beads" in the trunk area, seen easier on the passenger side, running on and near that heavier metal support arm right by the spare tire. Hope that makes sence.? The metal in that area looks fine and there is the same color painted everywhere. No signs of damage or repair. The welds just looked rough with some of the wire still stuck to the welds, but painted. Maybe I'm too suspicious or this car was made during Oktoberfest!!??? What do you think???? Thanks....J.R.

My 77 has the exact same welds on the same side (rough migs, like a front support brace was added for strength)
hope this helps Tim in Sac |

Thanks Tim, that must have been the way the factory welded at that time. Has anyone else seen this type of welds in their trunk area? J.R.
