AppBiz Carpet '74 to '83 Questions

hi guys,

I have a brand new set of App Biz RS carpets for the '74 to '83. They do not come with instructions and the only piece I have found online is for a PDF for a '73 which is a different carpet configuration.

Does any one have a step by step they can forward to me? I am slightly baffled by the rear quarter panel pieces.

henrymfisher@comcast.net

Thanks,
Henry

Henry, I used the 73 pdf as it is close. Hold the rear quarter perlon panels in place so that the round seam line follows the curve of the wheel well projection. That seam rides at the top.
Takes a bit of eyeballing but becomes obvious after a bit.

Search this site under "APPBIZ" and I found many photos of where the pieces go. I too had trouble putting the puzzle together. Once it is done it looks great!

start with the piece that goes over the door sill, then work your way to the back. repeat on the other side. next move on to the rear seat area, finally the front kick panels.

take your time and lay everything out before you glue anything down. all of the pieces overlap at some point and if you screw one up it will follow you. take a look at this for some insight.

it seems like everyone else has done it, so why not me... (interior)

Henry,

I'm ordering a set for my car too - gray perlon. When you figure it out, let me come over and check it out!
