help with headlight troubleshooting
i started to work on my lights tonight and i have everything hooked up except the driver headlight. it's weird cause the existing wiring seems to be new and i'm getting power to the harness. but when i turn on the lights i get nothing on that side. passenger works fine.
anyone got any ideas what/where to check next? these are upgraded H4's from the stock sugar scoops. do i need a relay? i swapped bulbs so i know it isn't that. baffling cause i can get power to the plug but doesn't turn on. here are some pics of how it's wired... ![]() ![]() ![]()

Make sure that brown wire is grounded good.

thanks pete. can i assume those leads go back to the fuse box? from the first pic, do the wires seem in the right plug slots?

Brown is ground on our cars. Use a meter and see if it is connected to the battery negative cable.
Personally, I would cut off the butt splices and use solder and adhesive lined heat shrink for those connections as they tend to get warm, then cool off repeatedly and will corrode inside over time.
