Dash lights after conversion
Hi All -
I have a 1977 S with a fully c.a.r.b. certified 3.2 conversion. On my dash I have the OXS light that I have never seen come on. Was this specific only to the CIS cars? With my motronic system, does it do anything/can I remove it? I would really like to replace it (or re use it) for a notification light when my oil cooler fan is manually turned on. I did some searches, but all of the discussions revolve around 911sc's. I cant find anything on the mid-year cars. Thanks - Scott S

That's just a light to remind you to change the oxygen sensor. It doesn't monitor anything (it doesn't actually monitor the condition of the oxygen sensor), it's triggered to just go off every 50,000 miles or so. You don't need it and can remove it.
