Hi. I'm getting ready to do a compression test on my 1969 911E. I found the CDI box, but the fuel pump relay continues to elude me. I can't find it on the SL33 wiring diagram, and when I look in the engine compartment where it would logically be located !, I found what look like 3 relays near the RPM transducer. All are silver. Any hints on how to locate the fuel pump relay, or maybe there is another way to keep raw fuel from getting dumped into the system while cranking?
Thanks for your help!

I know the 69 is an odd-ball year for wiring but as I recall there is no fuel pump relay in the early cars, prior to 76 CIS systems. If I'm correct, then you can stop the pump while you check compression by removing the fuse from the block in the engine compartment.

I certainly may be mistaken, especially since I have no experience with the E and it's MFI. I'm sure someone who knows for sure will post soon.

Not sure when relays arrived but neither my 73 nor my 74 had one, only a fuse.

Thanks for the replies. I've gone over the wiring diagram for the 69 (SL33). No mention of a fuel pump relay, but it looks like I've got a couple other relays back there they don't mention either. Also, there is no fuse for the pump, just a power wire on fuse block #1. I've even tried pulling THAT wire (blue and yellow) but the dang pump still runs. I swear it's powered by the mother ship in orbit! My final option is to drop the belly pan and pull the connector at the pump itself. Just seems like an extra bit of hassle for what should be a simple electrical device.
Waiting right now on a solid extender to make reaching into the spark plug recesses a little less frustrating.

Fuel pump should be hot from the acc switch.....position 1 on your fuse panel off the left hand side, back to a Y connector.

Relays on the rear console should be 1. Start relay, part of the MFI I think, and 2. Rear window heat relay.

The three fuses are rear window heat, start relay, and sporto ( spare unless you have a sporto obviously)

I don't have a diagram in front of me at the moment sorry, so going from memory.

Adding to the confusion is if your 69 has the intermediate unit, so the Tacho can get a signal. First year for the CDI.
