Technical question, with not-so-technical terminology.

OK, I just got ahold of some 3-pt rear seatbelts for my '85 for a good price. I know that the retractor bodies can be bolted down to the rear deck via the already-included threaded anchor points on either side of the car.

I also know I could try and get a rear deck cover with the through-holes already cut in it. OR, I could try and get the plastic doohickies (technical term) that act as the belt pass-through and do the surgery myself. Where do I get the plastic thingies? And what are they called?

Porsche calls that trim piece a seatbelt rose or rosette depending on which PET your are looking through. The only ones that seem readily available are the 964 version. I've posted part numbers before, but don't have them handy. -J

I am (wild-@ss) guessing that they will work. Is there an on-line PET? How about a down-loadable one?

DC Automotive provides a copy of pet as part of their parts search system. Also a good source for it used if your interior is a common color.

OK, I *think* I have them figured out. From the 964 PET .pdf, I get this:

964 555 511 01 and 964 555 512 01

And available at einmaligparts.com for $27.10, each side. Ouch.

Did I get it right???

Ha! Thanks for the heads-up - just added an offering! Good job with the "tranny" comment!

I saw how Wayne issued a warning about the posting shenanigans in the Marketplace forum (no rude pics and so forth) . . . would imaging he would consider all those "mooning" smileys that I've been posting recently to be "rude"?
