Happy 1st year Anniversary

It was the afternoon of March 16, 2012 when I happen to pass across Joe Rizza Porsche at Orland Park, IL, on my way home from a client call. Among the pre-owned 997s, Caymans and Boxsters parked at the lot, I saw this little red sporty parked alongside these beautiful creatures. I thought to myself is this for sale or is it just serviced and waiting to be picked up? Then I noticed a bright yellow sticker on the windshield that said "86" and thought to myself, what the heck, made a legal U-turn and went down inquired about it without any first hand knowledge or experience of owning/driving a 911. The only experience I have is riding my cousins 87 G50 and lurking here at PP since 2010.

After staying for almost 3 hours at the dealership (test drove and was my first time to drive a 911 and haggled the pricing), with just pure instinct and how it felt/responded between car and driver (No PPI yikes), I was driving the 86, 60 miles with all smiles to its new home. With a few adventures since first day of ownership (towed due to incorrect shifter coupler installation and a bad DME) and a lot of upgrades, all is well thanks to the PP community for the knowledge being shared to newbies like me.

This is the first photo I took last year March 16, 2012 as soon as I arrived home.

This is the last photo I took last March 09, 2013 before I left the US. Too bad I won't be able to celebrate today but got her a lot of upgrades which I will be installing once I'm back on April 25

Cheers and more wonderful years to come!

Happy 2nd year Anniversary

And so I am celebrating my 2nd year Anniversary. Still undergoing rehab due to the P-car addiction

She has changed a lot since but most parts are still with me . Cheers to the Pelican Community

Thanks! Not sure yet what look I want to end up with. I will have an early Carrera tail soon so I might sell the stratton duck and do an early carrera look including valance without fog light holes.
