yet another ducktail project

my 'mini-duck' is still in progress...

build thread - my version of a mini-duck for longnoses.

but that hasn't stopped me from sacrificing another duck to the cause.

so I have this ducktail, fits like a real piece of cr&p. I tried to pawn it off on a local pelican with the 'they all fit that way' line. but apparently he wasn't born yesterday and wasn't having any of it.

so, another duck project. a removable duck. kinda like the factory one. I can't find a pic right now but there was an optional removable duck available.

so after an hour of dust, here's where I'm at. haven't figured out attachment yet. some holes with studs and wing nuts would be easiest, but there are other more elegant ways. I'll work on getting a good fit first, then worry about getting it to stay on.

hey Don,
forget the quick release tail and invent some quick release hinges. then you don't have to fit the stupid things every time you go from clean to mallard!

Dzus fasteners could be a good quick release mounting option.
