Post wierd warmup glitch

88' Carrera starts up in the morning fine. However, about one minute after idling the rpms drop to about five hundred and then back up to the 800-900 range quickly. Happens every cold start. Any ideas?

My car does this exact thing. I don't know what it is, but I have learned to live with it. Sorry I can't be of better help.

Not much help, but my 88 idles eratically after it starts to warm up a bit and then as long as the engine in warm. Idles perfectly when started cold. Changed plugs, wires, cap rotor, DME sending unit. Maybe O2 sensor?
