Source for external transmission cooler pump?
I'm looking for a source for the Tilton pump commonly used for external transmission cooler setups. Pegasus Racing has one for $200, but there *has* to be an online source that's cheaper.

This would be a good place to start looking.
http://www.tiltonracing.com There is a dealer list on their page. Try calling Summit racing and Jegs, both carry Tilton driveline stuff, but don't list the pump on their web pages. It is also interesting that according to Tilton's catalog, their 2 plate metalic clutch is standard equipment on 996 GT3R's. Tom |

Wow! I didn't know they made so much stuff!
I picked one of the distributors off the list and ordered one. $169 + shipping.

Thom
Are you planning a spray bar or just a cooler?

Thom,
The Tilton pump is probably a relabeled bilge-type pump manufactured by Flojet, Jabsco or Shurflo. Check the online marine websites. You'll have to determine flow capacity and seal compatibility with the trans. fluid and operating temperatures. Hope this helps, Sherwood Lee http://members.rennlist.org/911pcars |
