I just picked up a Porsche factory 911/930 NLA 2-piece bra(one for nose, one for hood), and it looks pretty kickin. The nose cover also has clear pieces for the turn/parking lights, and also some small Porsche crests.
PNA 503 911 930 is the part number. I am wondering what it will look like installed. Anyone else install this on their car, and have pics? Thanks! ![]()

I am a "bra" man myself for over 40 years. Nothing but good experiences. If you do it right, keep the underside dry and perfectly clean it works. Keeps all the little pits away from your paint. I prefer the one-piece one because it is easier to remove and also does not leave a line on the hood or the fenders. Who cares how my car looks to bystanders. I hardly notice it when I drive. And it is a lot cheaper than the "invisible" bra. $100 vs. $1,000.

I'm an au naturale man myself. I like to be able to see the headlights. Plus you have to be able to take it off one-handed.

Had mine for 40 years not a single mark on my paint. Why should I spend $1,000 so bystanders get a more pleasing look of my car? I am not into exhibitionism. And the vinyl bras are period correct to boot.

I had a genuine porsche one. Used the hood piece by itself once for a long trip but then it started raining hard so I removed to avoid trapping moisture underneath. As for the rest of it , my car was never ever perfectly clean enough to use and it has to be because that hood sleeve was really snug. Sat in a box for years. Scared I would basically do more damage fitting it than driving without it.
As someone once put it here - a nuisance item.

Definitkey no bra. If you do wrap a clear bra ok the entire front end. Just be sure to replace it as recommended. Otherwise it'll be a big pain taking it off later.

Yeah, bras came with my 912, 914 & SC in the 80s but did not say on long. Bra-less or clear is a cleaner less cluttered look besides healthier for the paint.

My experience with a bra (c. 1978) is it was great IF my car NEVER got wet or dewy, and I never drove it.
The wind vibrating it will mark your paint and eventually it will get damp.

Bra
I intend to use the original Porsche Bra that I have strictly on a 2500 mile trip to South Carolina. and I want to avoid damage caused by flying rocks on highway drive.
I am debating on using the trunk part only or both parts or not at all...OR any suggestion as to waxing the front end with several layers as protection. if you have experienced a long trip bra please advise. Thanks |
