Front Seatbelt, Puzzling Observation

While installing my front seat belts I noticed one side Drivers side has a half twist in the belt between the B-pillar mount and the front mount (bracket that bolts to the side sill)
The passenger side however does not have this twist in the belt. Are the belts sided? L & R? The PET shows no difference in part numbers.
Has anyone noticed this anomaly on their car?

If the bracket that bolts to the side sill were flat (it's bent inward) I'd simply turn it but they aren't.

Can anyone shed some light on this for me?

Thanks much

Sounds like it is twisted. I replaced both of mine on my 83 and they are not handed as you pointed out. You can fold the belt and with some effort correct your problem. Warren

Thanks Warren
While I was cleaning them, I noticed one was folded in the reel. Seemed strange so I unfolded it!
