There really isnt anything in the forum about how the heat works with this exhaust. I know it's probably getting warm in your area now but I really would like to know how it works now as compared to before when you had the stock heat exchangers on. Thanks for your input.

The only aftermarket heat exchanger that has the same surface area as stock is SSI, so most cannot perform as well as stock. They do perform and will do the job, just not to the burn you out of the cabin degree. Early cars with no fans will have difficulty in climates such as Canada. Add an OEM fan and all is well.
We are continually working to improve the products while being mindful of cost. I'll take a look at the extensions Franz mensioned and see what can be done to remedy.

I picked my car up this morning and it runs great! I can really feel a set-of-the-pants improvement in performance. However, while it sounds great, it is a very LOUD! I will install the QuiteRiot baffles to see how much that will quite things down.

I installed the QR Baffles this afternoon and took her for a ride. While it's not quite as loud, its still too loud from idle to 4k rpm for my 56+ year old ears. So, I guess I need to replace the M&K or have it modified. Any suggestions?

I think you can cap one muffler out put if you are running dual out. I was thinking of getting the the 2 in 3 out M&K for my 82 and capping the rear 2 for daily use and uncap all for a really loud day! LOL!

Brian...I had no idea you did heat exchangers, very cool. Ever think about fabing something up for a 914/6? I have some really nice MSDS headers and would love a way to bolt on some heat exchangers for some relief for chilly mornings.
