Angry A/c capillary tube broke

Hi guys broke the capillary tube from the ac switch in the console when re-carpeting the interior. Bought a new switch, got it into the console, and am confused as to where the other end goes and how to get it there and what needs to be done.
Please any help would be appreciated

The other end of the capillary tube goes into the evaporator located in the smuggler's box. It has to go inside the vanes or fins of the evaporator.

Did the capillary tube break clean through, or just crack the outer white sheathing material?

If you bought a "thermostat", briefly: the switch portion goes in the console and the aluminum tube, which you will handle carefully, snakes back through the console, under the carpet, through the bulkhead and into the little hole in the top of the evaporator box and into the evaporator coil.

Did instructions come with the 'thermostat' ?

Just follow the yellow brick road, I.E. the "path" of the broken capillary tube...
