Backup light switch-pin (homemade)

OK... as many of you know, the backup light switch pin is no longer available from Pelican. When I performed my transmission rebuild a few years ago, I lost my pin and followed the directions provided in the link below.

This method worked like a charm until a few weeks ago when my backup switch kept blowing my turn signal fuse. Anybody else have this issue?

Perhaps I got the pin too long??? I believe I made it the extra 7mm as described.

Just curious if anybody found a solution.

Thanks in advance.
