H4 Headlight Adjuster Bushings

Hello all. I have an older set of H4 headlight assemblies installed in my 81 model 911 SC. The rubber "bushings" that are driven by the adjuster screws are dry rotted and need replacing. I can't seem to find these anywhere. These are the small rubber parts that connect the nut on the adjuster screw to the headlight carrier. Does anyone know where these can be found? Thanks in advance.

I tried looking at the usual sources like PET and Pelican catalog and I can't find any H4 repair pieces like this for sale.

I also scoured the Pelican Parts site and a few others before posting this. All of the bushings in my headlight assemblies are in pretty bad shape and a couple have crumbled into nothingness so I have to assume that someone other than me has had this problem. Ahhh, old cars

If you or someone else reading this thread has one in good enough condition to make a mold from, I could make them. Actually, if someone had 4 good ones, I could make a mold for multiples to be made at one time.

PM me and we can figure out the details.

Funny, so that's the piece missing from mine keeping them from getting adjusted correctly! Please help find a source.

I think I may have found them. This site sells a trim ring with hardware for an earlier model. When I zoom in on the image, the adjusters and bushings appear to be the same as mine.

"Chrome Headlight trim ring for Euro H4 lights"

I am going to call today to see if I can just get the bushings. I'll let you guys know how it goes.

seems to me that it's not as complicated as your guys are making it, I'm sure a small diameter rubber tubing from your local auto parts or silicone tubing from a pet shop place would do the trick for all of a couple of bucks.

Folks have been using gas and vacuum line for these for years. Search around lots of information.

How about fabricating those rubber bushings out of simple rubber stops or plugs, the red ones? They come in all sizes. Maybe McMaster has them. Or a chemical laboratory supply house has them. It should not be too hard to do. Drill a hole in the center and slice the sides at the appropriate places with a small hand saw.

It does appears they do have the kit, I just need 1 adjuster w/bushing. I don't see anyone offering the small parts.
