Bench Testing Blower Motor
I have a Carrera heater blower motor (the one in the engine bay) which I would like to sell, but I've never run it as the previous owner did not have the relay installed. I'd like to test it before selling and was wondering if this can be done easily, please? Or do you need the relay to power it safely? Thanks.

Remove it so you can see the connector on the front
12volts on one pin, ground the other, should start spinning Bruce |

Make sure it is secure, it may roll off the bench when you power it up

Did exactly what Flat6pac suggested last week on an evaporator blower. Little alligator clips onto the battery and then onto the blades of the connector lead. Just touched the ground as the final connection and motor spun freely. Easy quick test. Not intended to test more that a few seconds.

A 9 volt battery works just fine to test it, too.
