Rear reflector attachment options

I'm looking for another option for fastening the rear reflector on compared to the original fasteners below:

I've read that 74-77's attached with something looking like this?

Is this easier with the earlier hardware to attach? I'd rather not have to remove the bumper to put it on and take it off.

The reason I'm not that familiar is that I have an 87 that uses a different reflector, but I am not attempting to attach the older style. Thanks.

I recently went through this and would suggest using the push on style clip that goes over the plastic boss that holds the threaded insert. So, remove muffler then shield above muffler and while holding the reflector with one hand (or use assistant) push the clips on. It takes a hard push and I like to use slightly spread pliers to get them fully pushed on.

I don't think the plastic push pin (in pic) was ever used in this area.

I do not disbelieve in anything. I start from the premise that everything is true until proved false. Everything is possible.
