Some say that size does not matter.

flow rate of 84-86 injector is 22# per hour. 87-89 may be the same..or very close

I was making a joke. Or trying to.
You don't want to put injectors in the car that are not designed for the system. If you were to desire a richer mixture, that is an adjustment. If you increase displacement such that the old FI system is not metering the fuel properly, then you need a different Fuel Distributor. Not different injectors. At least that is my conclusion. ------------------ '83 SC |
can i put a 30pounder injector on my 3.2?

Thought someone said the 944 injectors were better because of spray or atomization and they're a performance improvement to the Carerra Series.

I would not install 30 #/hr in a basically stock 3.2 The O2 sensor is basically there to keep the air to fuel ration at aprox 14.7 to 1. The correction factor of the O2 sensor feedback probably would not be enough to maintain that ratio.
With the additional fuel may actually reduce HP since the most HP is developed with an air to fuel ratio of aprox 12.5 to 1 (lots of variables here). Also, the additional fuel might damage your motor (washing the cylinders and fuel in the oil) |
