Can you fit SWB (chrome/brass) Window frame on later carrera models?

Im in the process of backdating my 84 Carrera and i was wondering if its possible to backdate the window frames with the side vents.

I was able to locate 1967 window frames and I'm wondering if there would be a problem to fit the frames in the car.

I'm aware that there is aluminium and there is the brass versions,

could someone enlighten me if you have done this in the past ?

thanks

I haven't personally done it, but I know it can be done. This is a backdated Carrera with them.

'68 is the only year for aluminum frames with opening vent wings. '67 and earlier were chromed brass, '69-on coupes had fixed wings.

It's my understanding the fittings are the same for the door frames '65-98.

I recently installed 1968 AL frames in our 1974 911 coupe. Wanted the ventilation improvement. Also a long time ago I installed the chrome/brass ones (think from 66) in my then 1973T coupe. On that one we bead blasted the frames and anodized black as the chrome was gone. To match we did the rest of the 73 in black trim. Looked great.

Others to the best of my knowledge are correct, 68 was only year for coupe that had the AL frames with the vent windows that opened. They do install essentially the same as the frames with the fixed window. I am not sure as to the last year they will fit.

Here are a couple of shots of the 1974.

Thank you for all who replayed and clarified the issue,
I spoke to the seller and he suggested that I take the Alu instead of the chrome as he had those ready as well. I believe it's from a 68 model.
