Will this Muffler Fit?

I have an 1980 3.0 SC with SSI's and an M&K 2 X 2 out... Occasionally, I would like it quieter and wanted to see if the 67'-73' configuration of 2 in 1 out would fit... i.e. would the SSI's line up and has any one done this?

Here are some examples on Ebay... will these work?

I too considered getting rid of the loud M&K 2 in 2 out muffler on my 88 911 cab, until I inserted a block piece in one tailpipe that I got from Brian at M&K. Not only did it quieten down the noise substantially, it noticeably fattened up the torque ban. Its removable with one set screw if you want the noise back.

The earlier ones should fit but might be a bit more restrictive than you want....try a Dansk 2 in 1 out made for the 3.0. I've the SSI"s and the Dansk and it is quiet but verbal enough to enjoy.

Because of the 80 rear bumper you want a factory 1974 because of the tail pipe.

You do not want the ANSA. To restrictive.

You can cap the passengers side tailpipe on the M&K if you want to go single out. We also have internal caps if you wish to retain the dual out look with less sound.
