AC O-Ring Placement
Im installing my AC system... what is the proper O-Ring Placement? Is it between the flange/nut and the end of the metal hose end... on each end of the fittings (male and female)?
thanks in advance... |

It all depends on what type of fitting you have. If it is a flare nut type then no "O" ring is required. If there is a shoulder between the nut and the end of the tubing, then the "O" ring will slip up to the shoulder and when installed will be between the flare nut and compressor.

Helpful to me too, thanks. I was not sure if my dryer/reciever/desiccant needed o ring or flare. There is no shoulder on the old dryer just threads and a 45 degree to accept the flare.
