Bosch Micro Edge Install

I just got a set of these from pelican. I have tried for over an hour to get these on my stock, 83 SC arms. Went so far as to remove the wiper arms from the car and still can not get them on. Called pelican to confirm I ordered correct part and they confirmed I did

Anyone else install these and have any tips? Im ready to toss them in the garbage I am so frustrated

specifically, the problem seems to be that the hook end of the wiper arm is too short and way too narrow for these

If you indeed trash your Bosch blades (they aren't very good), get a set of these.
Amazon.com: PIAA 95033 Black Silicone Single Wiper Blade, 13" (Pack of 1): Automotive

Have had them on all my vehicles for years. The are awesome, last forever and never chatter. Here's a quote from an Amazon buyer:

" Blades are impregnated with a silicone treatment similar to rain-x that helps water bead, which also makes the blades chatter free even over a dry windshield. As a matter of fact, you're supposed to run the blades for 5 minutes on a dry, clean windshield to "treat" the glass with the built in lubricant. Buy 'em once, you'll buy 'em again."

Read the reviews! Believe me, they are AWESOME!

Are you using the correct style plastic adapters/keepers with the blades?

There are often different assorted clips packaged with the blades.

Did you remove an old pair of Bosch blades from the car?

Do a visual check and swap them over if needed.

The plastic clips can be pushed off of the center "pin" of the wiper blades.

Had a similar experience and had almost given up. I finally put the wiper arms up and pulled the blades toward me a lot harder they snapped in place. It took a lot more force than I expected.

Have to agree with 2nd post. Rubber blades will die a quick death as ozone and UV kills them. In SoCal that works out to, "Put them on because they aren't working in last week's rain... Wait 6 months for the next rain and they are junk again..."

I put Silblades on my 87 more then 12 years ago. I still have the same set on the car and they are still perfect. Silicon wiper blades are easily the best.

If you want to stick to original for originalities sake then Cooper is probably spot on.
(Hey Coop, we need to get the clear film onto my bumper when you have time!)

I put a set on a few months back... don't recall which brand. I honestly wasn't happy with the fit and curvature to the windshield and they were a pain to install. Does everyone else's push out on the drivers side?

The pre-installed clips on the Bosch Micro Edge will not properly fit the wipers. Remove them and install the included alternate (smaller?) clips.
