Emergency flash

hi!

I have a strange failure. My emergency flash will only work when engine is running. At once I turn off the engine, emergency flash stop working.
As I understand reading the electric diagram, the Red/Black wire at the emergency switch has to be hot all the time. On my car it is not :-(. No wires at the switch are hot, when the ignition switch is off.

I tried to put a wire directly from the battery to the Red/black wire at the emergency switch. Then it works great even when the engine is switched off, the only drawback is , that the fuel pump also start to run!!!!Strange.

Any suggestions from pelican people?

Regards
FMO

You can't buy happiness, but you can buy car parts which is kind of the same thing.

Yeah

After several hours, I finally discovered the failure.
Prevoius owner has put the " hot " wire from emergency switch to the fuel pump fuse. Fuel pump fuse is only "hot" when car is running. So I just put the wire from emergency switch to a hot fuse, and voila everything is working :-)

Ready for a beer now :-)
