H4 Problems solved... And ???
After alot of help from Early and others I have found the problems with my Left H4 light working incorrectly, It appears as thou the one bulb either arced or was repaired byt he PO. As you can see it looks like it was re tacked into the socket... UPSIDEDOWN. or just spun, which I will never know.
That is why my high beams would light up the ground and not the area. But I have another question. The black arrow points to a hole in the housing, the holds a small bulb. My right one has this but the left one has been "cut" Is this something I should fix? Also the connector for the light assembly is looking pretty burnt on the right side, where can I get this connector? ![]() ![]()

Richard,
I am glad you found that sloppy & cheap repair. It is amzing what some people will do to save $7 for a new H4 bulb! The arrowed hole is for 'City Lamps' or daytime 'running' lamps ... early H4s didn't have them, and I am not sure if USA-spec cars have the wiring in place to operate them.
