Window anti pinch

On 911 cab 2000 when activating door nandle window goes down a crack but returnsto closed position before door is shut resulting in ponching of window

the door latch itself is to blame there is a micro switch in the door latch that recognizes the door is open this is no longer working. It doesn't know the door is open.

Not because I know but because I just found the same answer in the 996/997 forum

Here is the text. Read the last two sentences.

There is a a way to make the regulator adjustable. If you go to the 986 forum and search for permanent fix for window regulator you will fins it there. Also for the people whose window goes down when the handle is pulled but up when released you probably have a bad micro switch in the door latch mechanism. Unfortunately you can,t replace the switch and you must replace the whole mechanism which is a costly $200 part.
