84carrera I want to know this unusual option code.

Hi !

Are from Japan.
I might be hard to come because it does not speak English.
I'm afraid really.
I want you to tell me.

I am in possession of 84 Carrera.
There is a sticker on the option code of the front hood back.
I looked at a lot such as a web site, but it was not found.
What D94 option code are you??

1984 911 CARRERA

WPOZZZ91ZES100×××

MOTOR CODE 93020-63E TRANS CODE 91567-73E

ENG. CODE1

PAINT.NO / INTERIOR L661 YD

M-AUSST/OPTION
D94 197 220 409 441
473 474 533 568

Thank you!!

shadowjack1 05-23-2014 05:08 AM

473=With spoliers

533=Alarm system
568=Tinted windshield and side glass
D94=??????

Canada Kev 05-23-2014 06:06 AM

If no one's seen that before, it might be a localized code for the funky rear seats the JDM cars often have. If you don't have these seats, well, that's probably not it then... ;)

TheSt|G 05-23-2014 06:18 AM

I guess they assumed in Japan someone might actually be the right height to sit back there. ;)

HIDEMI 05-23-2014 06:52 AM

Everyone! Thank you for reply.

Thank you for me examine the code of the lot!

My car is not a Japanese dealer.
WPOAA · · · · japan & US 207PS

My car is a Euro car.
WPOZZZ · · · EURO 231PS
MOTOR CODE 93020-63E TRANS CODE 91567-73E

I feel like the code of only Euro car will.
It was listed in the column of options code sticker, but, what's the difference with the option code maybe?

Bob Kontak 05-23-2014 11:12 AM

The first option on the white label is for the country code. In this picture the country code is "C00" - Germany

All country codes begin with the letter C. CXX.

Is this the location of your "D94" option number?

Worth a shot.

HIDEMI should post a picture of the sticker. That may help.

HIDEMI, use the "Go Advanced" option and post a picture.

mgro1959 05-23-2014 10:29 PM

I googled Porsche 094 code and the 094 code came up as 996 millenium model but that does not make sense. thanks Rob

HIDEMI 05-23-2014 11:29 PM

Hi!

Rear seat of my car is not in this style.
Center around is carpet style.

I was also taught the first code is a country code.
There is a country code to the photo of bob's.
There is a code D94 in its place for some reason.

I thought it was a mistake viewed as code 094 first time around.
However, I see in D94.

I've prepared a photo.
Please look at everyone!

HIDEMI 05-23-2014 11:41 PM

Is a postscript.

Rear Seat photo is not a photo of my car.
I have a reference sheet style and color are the same.

The body color, the previous owner has all paint.
It seems to be a metallic blue of the Ford Mustang.
The interior is the original dark blue.

christiandk 05-23-2014 11:54 PM

Konnichwa,
No, it has also been repainted on the inside of the hood...you can see paint over the sticker. Very unusual?

HIDEMI 05-24-2014 12:34 AM

> Canada Kev
Because I thought may not be transmitted, you will again.
Rear seat of my car is not in the seat style of your photo.
My car is a carpet-style center around.
Photo I have attached is the seat of the car of a different owner.
However, it is a photo of the same rear seat style and color and all my car.

> Mgro1959
When I was examined, I have arrived at 996.
Is D94 · · · Mystery!

> Christiandk
konnichiwa!
The previous owner was thought to be a very valuable article this sticker.
I think that it has all paint it after curing with masking tape and do not remove the stickers.

Bob Kontak 05-24-2014 09:18 AM

Thank you for the picture of the sticker.

The mystery is what country or market was your car made for.

Here is a list of country codes. All are "CXX"' Why is yours "DXX"?

Porsche Country Codes

Here is a Google images search on option stickers. Please review. All have a "CXX" first option code.

https://www.google.com/search?q=Porsche+911+option+stickers&client=firefo x-a&hs=mqb&rls=org.mozilla:en-US:official&channel=sb&source=lnms&tbm=isch&sa=X&e i=XNKAU-jYN4OnyASaooG4CA&ved=0CAgQ_AUoAQ

There is an answer. I believe there is something unique about your car.

Is it right hand drive? That would be Japan, Aust, Finland (Sorry - Finland is
LHD - My mistake) or UK country codes.

Right you are. Thanks for the point out. I swear I saw that in a WIKI link earlier today. I will edit out.

Edit: Maybe I should check dates and read the whole paragraph.

Although left-driving Sweden ceded Finland to right-driving Russia after the Russo-Swedish War (1808-1809), Swedish law – including traffic regulations – remained valid in Finland for another 50 years. It wasn’t until 1858 that an Imperial Russian decree made Finland swap sides.

Guess they must have switched back to LHD sometime after 1858. :-)

Good one Bob, that 1873 Carrera RS is the one to have :)

Ouch! Especially if it's the D94 option RS.

HIDEMI 05-24-2014 10:59 AM

I also take a look at the Porsche country code list.
And I look at a lot of Porsche 911 option stickers.
Stickers of all was the C code.
D code was not found at all.
Mystery deepened more!
I also hope that it wants a code number unique!

There is a thing to be worried about.
Do you think the initials of C code that's the meaning of the Country?
If that was the case, the meaning of the initials D code What do you think?

At the same, my car is left-hand drive!

christiandk 05-24-2014 11:13 AM

Please post picture of nice 911 d94 with JP plates and HIDEMI with happy face. Yes!

Konbanwa,

Christian

HIDEMI 05-24-2014 11:58 AM

It does not get the JP plate because I just purchased a 84 Carrera.
To get to the plate with the new in Japan, you will be subject to inspection in accordance with the Japanese traffic rules.

I am shy and a little embarrassed, but the car photo might attach them;)

Yes C Code is country delivered to when new.

D-Code being in the country code field/position is the mystery.

I am still searching. The answer exists. It may be difficult to find.

Pulling big leg? Is that a Danish term? Are you a yank?

HIDEMI 05-24-2014 12:53 PM

I pray that the D94 can be found.

Thank you everyone!
I am grateful.

I am serious. Pulling leg is an expression used in the US.

Normally it's "You're pulling my leg".

Is the expression used in Denmark in the same manner? If not, I was asking if you were US origin.

Man, one misplaced reference to mid 19th century Finland/Russian horse and buggy driving protocol.........:)

christiandk 05-24-2014 11:15 PM

Bob, I know the expression and I know how it goes. I was just trying to be funny (did not go well) and write like HIDEMI. I think that he is having a laugh on our behalf.

I have visited you fine country 2 times but I am no Yank :)

Have a nice Sunday,

Christian

HIDEMI 05-25-2014 01:48 AM

Hello everyone!

I am filled with the translation software in the web site.
My writing might be hard to come to everyone. There is no strange meaning.
Please tell me that about 911 in various ways in the future!

And advances the story I thought my car that's EURO cars.
For example, Germany and the UK Porsche dealers.
Do you think these dealers and will be answered by e-mail option code detail?
Do you think the old car detail is not the answer?

Best regards.

pc100porsche 05-25-2014 04:34 AM

90% of 911s sold new in Japan are ordered LHD ..... whilst all cars drive on the Left Side of the road, cars can be ordered either RHD or LHD and most up market European cars are ordered LHD (its a weird screwed up prestige thing) .....

HIDEMI .. where are you based ? ...

Rich Gas 05-25-2014 06:53 AM

Hey Christiandk...I sense a fox in the hen house...lot of 10 post tricksters these days. I assumed an alternate ID when banned for a few weeks, but did it with a sense of humor and kept it light and fun. It was very apparent...
Here we have a supposed Japanese speaking user asking a ridiculous question with the inability to supply supporting photos, and relies on just enough confusion to deflect.

Give the guy a break…Bob asked him to post a photo of his option sticker with the D94 code, and he did, and still nobody can help decode it.

Maybe it's a unique code?
