Here you go...

Seriously, though...not sure the Safari browser interacts completely with all the functions of this website.

Testing TapaTalk app...

Matt,

I am unable to post pictures from Ipad/Ipad2 to date with the stock browser Safari. I am currently testing a couple of forum/bbs friendly apps --- This app "Tapatalk" in different flavors (ios and android) looks promising.

Once I get done with my testing I will let you know if it is worth exploring.

Yup - That's exactly what I just did in the 'cars for sale' section of the site.

Lightbulb "Restrictor plate removed from your ipad"

Photobucket app they mentioned will enable you to upload your pictures to your photobucket album. After it is uploaded, it will provide you with a link of your photo file. I believe Danny_Ocean and k8atu utilized the photo links by tagging metadata like this below as image source...

Browser to "pull" your image from the url...

You can go to the advance mode, select "insert image", append the url address and it will do the same for you when you post a picture via your ipad's browser. Will require some multi-gestures skills on the ipad to make worthwhile for you and me

Additional info:

Since the stock ipad/ipad2 cannot upload pictures as is...had to do some tablet improvement to enable this functionality.

Here is a proof of concept on Youtube that with a some elbow grease under the ipad hood, one can preview and post approved images in this forum with ease within the Safari browser with a plug-in. The tablet ipad test mule utilized was previously stock (jailbroken to enable more functionality and enable more security features, test apps, etc.).

My video link on my youtube channel...
Proof of concept - preview, upload and post with ease on your ipad/ipad2

Hope that help you.

I too have an ipad2 and find posting pics way too many hoops. So if images are posting, I use Win 7.

so does the ipad, I think I paid $20 for the card reader.

Then I can upload pics to my picasa or flickr account and then copy/paste the URL between the image tabs on a forum post.

I know last post is nearly 2 years old.

I have a year old iPad, version 7.0.4.
Have items to sell, can't download pics to Pelican site from iPad.
Does the iPad or our hosts site have a fix?

I am not very computer literate, the easier, the better.

Thank you.
Matt

Matt -

I have the same ipad with the same software version. You should be able to create a post - or reply to one - then click the blue "Click here to upload a Photo" link. That will open a new Pelican page on your browser. Then click "Choose File", then "Choose Existing", and it should take you to your Camera Roll on your iPad.

Hope that works for you -

- Mike

Or easier still, go to the App Store and download tapatalk. Then log in to Pelican forums. It will let you upload pictures from the camera roll or take a new one.
Cheers,
Leah

Thanks Mike for your reply.
That's exactly what I'm doing, yet I keep getting a message about my settings being too high??and try to put file in reply box on window below.
Problem is, no reply box and no window below.
Again, I am not computer savvy.

Once I follow all the steps and select my pics from my camera roll on iPad and hit "upload now" I get the message I described above.
