alternator pulley tool alternative?????
Does anyone use a alternative tool to grip the round alternator pulley when tightening the belt on a 83sc?? Ive seem to have lost mine years ago and looking for another tool or just an alternative...thks Damian

never tried it before without the correct tool....maybe one of those strap wrenches could hold the pulley in place while tightening the nut, without causing the damage that would occur with large metal pliers.

I've used a pipe wrench before. You can put some rubber or something to keep the teeth from damaging the pulley.
