Under dash AC vents/evaporator

So I've been looking around for parts to put AC back in my car (1976) and I came across this universal kit that combines the evaporator, blower and vents into one unit that installs under the dash.

It seems like this kind of setup would be optimal for the 911 because all losses directly from the evaporator and on the way to the vents are directly into the cabin.

Any thoughts on using something like that? My car currently has no AC parts left, just a bunch of holes all over the place.

What would something like that do to legroom?

It would think it would be difficult to fit an effective enough evaporator in that area.
