Question Quarter Window Hinge with Broken Screw

I tried to replace a broken quarter window hinge today with a new-used one but one of the three screws had its head broken off with the stem remaining inside the rear quarter panel. I can just get my small vise grips on it but it refuses to turn. I don't want to mess up the headliner, under which this screw is located, because I just replaced it. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

BTW, cramming my 6'2" three-quarters of a century old frame into that back seat was a sight to behold. I can attest that all the world's daughters would be safe in there with me!!

Tom

Here are two pictures, the first of all three screw holes; the third one, which has the screw stuck in it, is the upper most one.

There is a little headliner fuzz over the screw in the second photo.

Maybe if I snipped away a little bit of headliner I could get a firmer grip; but it feels like the metal behind it if right at the depth of the headliner.

BTW the screw is the metric equivalent of 6x3/4". not much to drill into.

Lisle makes a 6pc bolt and stud extractor kit for $32 US. I would try carefully putting a little PB blaster on the threads and lit it work for a couple days. Use a small syringe and needle to apply directly to the thread so as not to damage your headliner. You might be able to just grip the stud with a vise-grip but be very careful not to tear the headliner.
